Very Berry Smoothie
I’m gonna go out on a limb and assume that nearly everyone has a blender of some sort (which will come in handy for making this fruit smoothie recipe that I’m loving at the moment). I used to have the standard cheap-o, $15 blender that someone brought over to make margaritas once and left behind. Let’s just say the blender was far from amazing; barely got the job done, leaving us chewing our ‘blended’ drinks.
The few times I attempted to use that blender afterward, I was always disappointed by the outcome and gave up on it, placing it in its rightful spot in the small appliance graveyard we keep in our laundry room.
Enter the beautiful gift my husband got for me 6 months ago.. my Nutri Ninja Blender! Can I tell you that life A.N. (After Ninja) has dramatically changed? I’d say I use it at least 5x a week now, if not more. (This is not a sponsored ad by any means, I just love the thing this much!) Smoothies and shakes have been my go-to for breakfasts ever since!
Ok, so enough about the blender.. what I wanted to share is this Very Berry Smoothie recipe. If you’re looking for a simple way to enhance the flavor of your vanilla protein powder (I personally use Shakeology), it’s as simple as blending in some frozen berries and unsweetened almond milk. Not only will you give your smoothie a sweet fruit flavor, but you’ll also get a vibrant violet color. You can use any combination of berries, but I found this mix of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries to be delicious.
Seriously.. how can you resist these beautiful berries??

Feel free to add in a handful of spinach or your favorite greens before blending. You won’t taste it (I promise!) and it’s a good way to sneak in an extra serving of veggies!
